The Cake, Not Just the Icing: Why Companies are Increasingly Collaborating with Competitors

Vantage recently surveyed 155 companies as part of a coopetition study conducted in partnership with ASAP.

According to partner Jonathan Hughes, “The data confirm the increasing pervasiveness of coopetition across industries.” Most companies surveyed already routinely compete with their business partners: 75 percent reported doing so “some” or “a great deal”.  Moreover, many companies proactively explore collaboration with competitors, in order to preempt or respond to competitive threats.
